Summer love can be a fickle thing. But for Amber and Schuyler, their summertime adventures brought them together! They celebrated their Roca Berry Farm wedding with family and friends in the autumn of 2022, and I loved being their photographer.

To say that I had fun shooting this wedding would be a HUGE understatement. Not only were Amber and Schuyler a fantastic couple to work with, but also the venue was downright beautiful. And since these two have known each other for so long, it was a pretty emotional affair for everyone.

If you haven’t been out to Roca Berry Farm, it’s a must-see local farm in Lancaster, NE. They have year-round experiences, like pumpkin picking and Christmas trees! But this last fall, it was all about Amber and Schuyler’s Roca Berry Farm wedding.

Summer Sweethearts

Amber and Schuyler met like most people do: being summer lifeguards at the local pool! All joking aside, they knew each other for quite some time, being from the same hometown. After several years of light flirting, they finally decided to give their relationship a go. And the rest is history.

We were supposed to get rain for this Roca Berry Farm wedding, but we lucked out and got sunny skies for most of the day. And we managed to shoot the first look before the rain hit, which was so sweet. Schuyler actually had tears in his eyes, and it wasn’t long before Amber started crying tears of joy, too.

And as if these two weren’t amazing enough already, they leveled up their wedding game by getting matching initial tattoos before the ceremony and having their pup as the ring bearer! Seriously, this couple was beyond cool, and they had a wedding ceremony and reception that was made for them.

A Delightful Roca Berry Farm Wedding

This was a perfectly rustic wedding full of fall colors and rustic accents. The bridesmaids wore terracotta-colored floor-length gowns, and the groomsmen wore tan tuxes. Combine that with the barnwood archway and autumn-themed floral decor, and you’ve got an ideal fall wedding.

There were a lot of happy tears all around during the ceremony, which was so sweet. Schuyler could barely contain himself for the first kiss! And soon, it was time for the reception. 

Amber and Schuyler wanted their Roca Berry Farm wedding reception to match their ceremony. They had a plated dinner inside a converted barn, which was downright magical. The chandeliers glowed above the wedding party, illuminating the stunning flatware and centerpieces.

After dinner, it was time for drinks and dancing! Amber and Schuyler had their first dance in front of a glowing sign showcasing their married name: Emde. They invited friends and family to join them on the dance floor, and it wasn’t long before everyone was dancing the night away.

Lovely Days and Sweeter Nights

What a wonderful day this was! I truly had such a great time photographing these two. They were a blast to work with, and the entire family was beyond welcoming. I felt like one of the gang by the end of the day.

I truly enjoy shooting weddings where the couples let their personality shine through. And Amber and Schuyler were their authentic selves the entire day. Being there to capture so many special moments for them was an honor and a joy.
