What an awesome experience! I know I say this a lot, but it was such a pleasure to be part of Sierra and Devin’s intimate and romantic El Dorado Royale wedding on the beach, especially since Sierra is one of my best friends! I’m so excited to share these images and all the fabulous details with you!

“Let’s Just Do It!”

Sierra and Devin met during their freshman year of high school at a state track meet and started dating not long after, in July of that year. Four years later, they both felt the urge to just do it, to tie the knot and start living their lives together as husband and wife. 

The day Devin proposed, Sierra was supposed to close for work, but she got off early, so she went to his house to pick him up for dinner with her parents. Instead of finding Devin though, she found a note telling her to go to her apartment to get ready. They had a picnic, where Devin read Sierra a letter, and he proposed!

The El Dorado Royale Wedding Venue

Both Sierra and Devin had their heart set on an intimate destination wedding on the beach and wanted to invite their nearest and dearest to spend an entire weekend with them. It turned out to be a four-day-long wedding with about 40 guests, which was great! They really chose the most amazing spot for their special beach wedding though, the El Dorado Royale wedding venue!

The El Dorado Royale wedding venue was a stunning all-inclusive five-star beachfront resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and it offered the most incredible location for an intimate destination wedding on the beach. They set everything up so beautifully, just as Sierra and Devin had imagined their dream beach wedding to be. The views, surrounded by palm trees, sand, and the ocean were amazing too.

The Reception Was A Blast!

There were so many incredible moments and highlights from Sierra and Devin’s gorgeous and carefree El Dorado Royale wedding, but one of my favorite highlights from their wedding has to be the wedding reception. It really was an absolute blast!

I always love capturing weddings and telling a couple’s wedding story through images, but it’s even more special when the bride just happens to be one of your best friends. We had so much fun during their entire El Dorado Royale wedding, but the reception was when things really got going, especially the awesome moment when I convinced the newlyweds to jump in the pool with their wedding party, fully clothed!

Final Thoughts

I can’t stop saying enough good things about Devin and Sierra’s El Dorado Royale wedding, but let me say it all again one more time. The venue was gorgeous, the views were stunning, the wedding setup was great, and everyone looked their very best, especially Sierra. The whole wedding was a wonderful time that I’m glad I got to experience and make special for my friend and everyone there to support her and her husband.
