Janae + Nicholai’s Bohemian Wedding In Omaha

Janae and Nicholai’s wedding in Omaha was definitely one I’ll remember for all the fun and laughter filling it throughout the day. I’ll also remember all those precious and poignant moments as the two of them shared their I do’s (and dropped the ring!). It’s weddings like these – the one’s that don’t quite go to plan that stand out to me. And it was so awesome to watch Janae and Nicholai relax into everything and just go with the flow!

Janae And Nicholai’s Wedding In Omaha

For their wedding in Omaha, Janae and Nicholai chose to tie the knot at the St. John’s Catholic Church. Before Janae walked down the aisle, I had the chance to capture an incredible moment between her and her father for her dress reveal. You could just see how much this father-daughter moment meant to both of them.

Janae wasn’t done making things meaningful though, as she wanted to and did carry with her a couple of sentimental pieces on the day of her wedding. These included her grandmother’s wedding handkerchief, her grandmother’s brides manual, her great-grandmother’s purse, and a handkerchief with lace that had a piece of her mom’s wedding dress on it.

The ceremony itself left Janae and Nicholai’s guests brimming with a mix of tears and laughter as the two of them declared their love and vows to one another. I know it’s a little unusual to include the word laughter to describe a wedding ceremony, but when one of them dropped the ring during their ring exchange, and each of them good-naturedly blamed one another for the hiccup, it was definitely a moment that had everybody chuckling.

And I just can’t unpack Janae and Nicholai’s wedding in Omaha here without mentioning the wild moments on the party bus ride from the church to the reception venue. Oh, and Janae and Nicholai popping champagne in the park surrounded by all their people. WHAT A BLAST! Janae and Nicholai were so free-flowing throughout the day and really knew how to just relax and take in every moment.

Their Bohemian Reception At The Omar

The Omar is a super industrial space, which offered the perfect blank canvas for Janae and Nicholai’s bohemian-style wedding. The venue was beautifully decorated with a variety of greens that blended perfectly with the bold color tones, twinkle lights, exposed brick walls, concrete floors, and wooden elements dotted throughout the event space.

Janae and Nicholai didn’t want their wedding in Omaha to end, and I can understand why! There was so much fun and laughter going on from start to finish, and I had such a great time throughout the day capturing all of those memorable moments with their nearest and dearest.
