Megan and Christian’s upscale wedding day at the Happy Hollow Club in Omaha was such a BLAST! Except for the wedding itself, everything went down at the Happy Hollow Club in Omaha, and it was so well thought-out! As a wedding photographer, it’s always a dream to work with clients who put that little extra something into their wedding but also know how to party it up when it’s time to let loose. 

Megan and Christian handled this mix so well, and there were so many great moments to take photos of for them! I’m talking intimate letters, poignant pre-wedding moments, sweet first looks, phenomenal florals, dashing tuxedos, stunning dresses, an awesome bus ride, sunsets, entertaining golf cart rides, outdoor cocktails, incredible decor, fun-loving speeches, live music, late-night dancing, and a super cute pup called Leo. All of this and more made up this super great wedding day. Here’s some more about it!

Pre-Wedding Moments Before the Upscale Wedding Day At The Happy Hollow Club

Usually, I’d just jump right into talking about this wedding day at the Happy Hollow Club in Omaha, but we’ve got to stop a bit and talk about what happened BEFORE the wedding because there are lots of things worth talking about. 

The first moment had to be when the bride appeared in her absolutely gorgeous dress before her bride tribe. Then there was when Megan and Christian sat down to read letters they had written to one another, but one of the pre-wedding moments that really stood out to me had to be when Megan’s father saw his beautiful daughter in her wedding dress. There’s nothing quite like the love between a father and daughter, and I’m so happy I got to capture that for the both of them! 

The Wedding Ceremony

Up next was their beautiful wedding ceremony at West Hills Presbyterian Church. It’s so hard to put into words the unique and beautiful experience each wedding gives! Sometimes, it’s even hard for photos to do that!

But I work really hard to capture as much as I can. Like the look on Megan’s dad’s face as he walked her down the aisle, still so obviously proud of his daughter. Or the look on Megan’s face as she anticipated being married soon. And the one on Christian’s face as he waited, hardly able to contain such a BIG smile!  

Just writing about it now puts such a big smile on MY face! 

The Reception At The Happy Hollow Club In Omaha

After the ceremony, it was all fun and laughter as we all got into a bus for an awesome ride over to the Happy Hollow Club. I love golf course weddings because there’s so many opportunities to take some great photos for the bride and groom!

Speaking of the bride and groom, I want to talk about how much they went through just to get here. These two started dating in HIGH SCHOOL! Their love overcame a long-distance relationship in college, supporting each other through collegiate sports, and picking up their lives and moving to Dallas, Texas!

When they were married and on the dance floor, you could just see how happy they were together. Nothing could have stopped them. I really can’t say enough about how happy I was for them! And getting to explore the golf course with them, finding the right areas and lighting to take some shots of them together, I was so glad to do that for them.

Final Thoughts
